This Ends Today
For over a year, I’ve made excuses for my feelings, actions, and reactions. I’ve punished myself mentally, physically, and emotionally. I’ve built walls between myself and the people I love most. I’ve been going through the motions, but not truly living.
That ends today.
In the words of Mel Robbins, you can change your life in three steps:
1. Make a Wish
2. Take Actions that Align
3. Look for Lights on the Path
So today, I close my eyes and make a wish:
“I wish to live a life true to myself, not the life others expect from me.”
I wish for this life to:
Reflect my relationship with Jesus Christ.
Strengthen my bond with my family, keeping me present as both anchor and guide.
Teach me the power of saying no, and the peace that comes with it.
Remind me that my worth is not measured by what I do for others, but by how I honor myself.
Keep me healthy in mind, body, and spirit.
Allow me to learn from my past and then release it, knowing that excuses are just lies wrapped in explanations.
I don’t expect to have it all figured out tomorrow, or even a year from now. But if every day I lay a single brick on this journey, my path will grow. And step by step, I will walk toward the life I deserve, and the life I choose.
✨ Light on the Path:
“Change begins the moment you stop waiting for permission to live the life that’s already calling your name.”
“Change begins the moment you stop waiting for permission to live the life that’s already calling your name.”
